MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

Is There Anything I need to do Before My First Appointment?

Yes - and it's easy!

• Do not apply moisturizer or sunscreen to your legs on the day of your appointment.
• An ultrasound of your legs will be used to map your treatment plan on the first appointment. The ultrasound examination will go from your ankle to the vein just below the groin.
• After consultation with Dr Lekich, you will be given a treatment plan outlining the required sessions and costs.
• Medicare does cover aspects of vein treatment.

If Treatment is commenced on the First Appointment

• If treatment is commenced on the first appointment you will be fitted with medical grade compression stockings to wear home. These stockings are fairly firm so looser trousers or slacks can be worn over them.
• You will need to walk for 20minutes immediately after treatment to ensure the best possible results and for comfort. The VenusCentre is located very close to the beautiful Miami Beachfront so a walk along the boardwalk is most rewarding. We are also close to several good Coffee outlets so these make for a great destination as well (we also have coffee cards available).
• You will receive information regarding after treatment care.
• You can drive or walk home.
• Normal activities can be resumed but avoid strenuous activities (weight lifting or aerobics) for 72 hrs.
